While wishing everyone the best that 2010 has to offer, I am looking forward to working with all our staff officers and our general membership of Dunedin Flotilla 11-10.

We start this year with a seasoned staff, as all our flotilla officers are returning for another term.

I encourage our members to expand their auxiliary knowledge by taking courses, becoming coxswains, boat crew members, communication watch standers, vessel examiners, and partner visitors in our recreational boating safety visitation program. Also consider teaching boating safety and working our public affairs functions.

An excellent start for those of you that like being on the water would be to sign up for the division wide boat crew training program starting in February of 2010. This is not only a great way to become boat crew qualified, but also an excellent way to meet members from other flotillas that will be training with you.

Set even higher goals by taking AUXOP courses and test with any of our five proctors. Become OE qualified and take part in B-O patrols at Station Sand Key. Be involved. Stay focused. But above all enjoy what you are doing.

I believe that you will, as I have, make some of the best friendships of your life by taking part in auxiliary activities and interacting with other members.

Lets all have a great 2010.

Max Garrison
