Flotilla 11-10 FSO-VE Report – Submitted 05AUG08 

Just a reminder, I have initiated a special email address to help boaters who would like to schedule a vessel safety check. This new email address is safeboat@verizon.net. When I receive a request, I will distribute the checks to those members who need vessel exams to maintain their competency. 

Congratulations. Thanks all the hard work of the vessel examiners, we are at 100 vessel exams for the year. I especially want to recognize John Fiorillo who has the most so far with 20 vessel exams. However, I also want to acknowledge Buddy Casale and Larry O’Brien who are in a very close second with 14 exams each. While I know it gets harder later in the year, please continue to try to do vessel exams, and if you would like to do a special event, please let me know so I can help you. 

Below is the number of exams done in so far this year. I would like to remind all vessel examiners that they must have at least five (5) vessel exams to maintain their certification. Please make sure to do a 7038 each time you do vessel examinations. In the comment section, please indicate where the exams were done and the date. The 7038 must be sent to Walt Murray at his auxdatawpm@verizon.net address. Please be sure to send me a copy of the 7038 as well.
